Have you ever been on a power bike? I haven't. Which is why i jumped on this Kawasaki double turbo immediately i saw them. Its for my friend Kuhle in South Africa. And since i am so scared at the sight of people riding them on highways i thought i'd enjoy mine on a stationary level. Lol! I have a friend who once said he loves riding on power bikes than cars in Lagos, probably because of the un-ending traffic but please i'd rather be in traffic for 10 hours than reaching my destination in 10 minutes on a power bike. I hear its fun and all but hey,not werking for me… Good luck to all the riders!

ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK RUNWAY REPORT:BLACK MAMBA BY VONNE
Designer,Yvonne Nwosu |
From the day my designer friend Yvonne Nwosu told me she titled her latest collection "BLACK MAMBA",i have been asking her to tell me about this collection but then she kept mute that i'd see them on the she showcases. I was so eager to see pieces from this collection because the title is very questioning. One day, her tailors brought one of the pieces to her house while we were having dinner. And all i said was "WOW" because truly i was blown away by the cuts and the very detailed embellishment on sheer lace on the upper part of the dress i saw. I know lace is sexy but when it comes to sheer, its pretty difficult to work on. But the dress was indeed classy, sexy, fierce and very unique. Yvonne pulled all the buttons that was needed in this all black collection. Oh well, need i say more… Enjoy when class meets sexy and evoked the daring goddess out of her… THE BLACK MAMBA!
TONTO DIKE & GBENGA AKINNAGBE MADE ME LOVE COMPLETE FASHION'S APRIL ISSUE.
By now,you guys should have notice my love for stunning covers, and i think the new cover of Complete Fashion with the tattooed, "all up in your face" actress Tonto Dike posing very hot, sexy and beautiful on the front and American-born Nigeria actor Gbenga Akinnagbe on the back cover… Tonto was styled by TiannahStyling and was photographed by Reze Bonna. I must commend the creative team of complete fashion.
Now rushing to grab mine….

ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK RUNWAY REPORT:CLAN
I missed the launch of the first collection showcased by the daughters of one of the most talented Nigerian designers Deola Sagoe-Teni,Aba and Tiwa in 2011. But then i expected nothing less considering how detailed and fabulous their mom is when it comes to designing and making cloths. But then i was one of those who said "are they not too young to do AMFW in 2012 because they are relatively new in every sense"But as far as i am concerned this collection was one of the best collections from the 2012 AMFW. From fine clear cuts to edgy meets sexy and elegance meets glamour. So Mommy Deola, step aside, your prodigies are the new hotties are in town"...
Enjoy this collection...
Enjoy this collection...
ANGELINA JOLIE'S LEGGY RIGHT LEGS!
Angelina Jolie in Versace |
Remember Angelina Jolie's right leg at the Oscar night? Of course you do. She thrust it out of the thigh-high slit on her Versace black gown all the way down the red carpet, and then on stage while presenting an award. It was so obviously weird that the winners of said award–the writers of The Descendants who won for best adapted screenplay–all mocked her immediately during their acceptance speech.
Following the Oscars, Jolie’s right leg went viral, and spawned a Twitter account, countless Tumblrs, and fun games like Jolie leg-bombing,-pasting Jolie’s right leg in a photo. But then the screen goddess who is one of my favorite actresses ever was very much herself and didn't send. I was so happy to find out she finally replied and this is just the perfect answer if you ask me because Jolie makes you feel bad about yourself for even thinking it was a thing.
JOLIE'S REPLY
“You know what I mean? I don’t watch those TV shows and if I go online and see something about myself, I don’t click on it. And the people I surround myself with don’t really talk about that kind of stuff. [Laughs]. I heard something, but I didn’t pay any attention. It’s as simple as being a woman picking a dress you like and having a night, and not really thinking about anything else.”
I love this woman..xx Damn!
H&M TO LAUNCH LUXURY BRAND
I absolutely love H&M for making fashion lovers standout in their pieces without spending much not until their recent collaborations with high end labels.
Apparently working with high-fashion designer labels like Versace and Marni has rubbed off on H&M: The fast fashion retailer is reportedly working on a luxury brand.
The new brand would be more expensive than the company’s covetable normal products, and is said to involve designer Behnaz Aram, who used to design for Swedish women’s ready-to-wear brand Whyred. Aram was brought onto H&M’s new business design team in August 2011, where he’s worked on the company’s COS, Monki, Weekday and Cheap Monday labels.
I’ve always loved H&M high/low approach to retail–particularly with their collaborations with some of the industry’s most sought-after (and expensive) designers–so i’d be curious to see what the company would turn out if it focused on a purely luxury, pricier market. But really what i’d like is to see COS, H&M’s slightly pricier and more design-focused store, to hit other part of the world especially Nigeria.
Would you buy luxury clothing from H&M?

BETH MODELS ANTHONY BUKOLA AND JITE MAKES VOGUE ITALIA'S FAVORITE LIST
Anthony Bukola |
Jite |
After the show,i went up and about to look for my friend Elohor who runs the most reputable modelling agency in Nigeria,Beth Models to find out details about Anthony Bukola and sincerely speaking i was stunned when she said she only scouted Anthony Bukola two weeks before the show in Yaba area of Lagos.
I had my eyes on her just like i did with the 2010 winner of the Elite model look Nigeria Chika Emmanuel and till date, she's one of my favorite models in Nigeria.

FASHION POLICE:PHONE SWAP MOVIE PREMIERS
Front and back view of Nse's dress |
Lydia Forson |
For me,i think from the hair colour to the dress to shocking shoes representing her home town Ghana and of course the ridiculous slit showing her black spanx… ITS A TOTALLY WRONG OUTFIT! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! {Screaming}
Kate Henshaw |
When i saw Kate Henshaw's picture,i thought the look was age defying from her 70s hair packed to the side to her disco outfit and feathers earring. She looked very 70S in a glam way.
Nk[style writter,Punch Newspapers] |
I just j'adore this look. It reminds me of Kim K's look from Gucci's spring 2012 collection in 2011. I love the combination.
I LOVE THEM THEMED!
I am such a fan of themed parties be it the all black everything, all white, the classic black and white or a vintage party. It's just some serious fun to dress up to the subject sometimes. Some weeks back, I was invited by a friend to her 30th birthday and the dress code was "vintage glam" and this was how i looked to the party.
Pant by Zara,Denim Shirt by Zara,Suspenders by Zara, bowtie by River Island,Shoes by Valentino & Hat is Vintage. |

STYLE VINTAGE
We often laugh at yesterday's fashion but we get excited with the day before yesterday, when it will become the tomorrow's fashion which we end up calling VINTAGE. And i absolutely enjoy the youthful feel in today's vintage style.
I hope you like how the ever stylish Thisday Newspaper columnist Azuka Ogujiuba rocked this 70s inspired look in a more sophisticated and glam way. She was photographed by her friend TY Bello.
I love the Vintage pearl ring, high neck 70s dress and this fascinator hat is just the perfect hair piece. |

THE ICONIC DJ JIMMY JATT & ME
Me & Dj Jimmy Jatt |
Sometime in Feb,i got a message from Dj Jimmy Jatt A.K.A PAPA about the launched of his snapbacks. Quite exciting to me because i love it when celebrities merchandise. On the launch day,I spoke extensively with him on the red carpet and he told me how he has more things up his sleeves in terms of merchandising. But the caps were as a result of Nigerians rocking NY,YANKEE etc when they are in Nigeria and are Nigerians. And again snapbacks were cool, trendy and very youthful. Why don't they rock NAIJA or LASGIDI. So he teamed up with a talented urban designer Marco Martinez and the snapbacks birthed. It was such a fun nite at one of lagos best kept secret Swe bar where the video for Jimmy Jatt's new song Ko won je was premiered. The song featured Sauce Kid,Orezi,Igho and Muna. I got a few pictures and thought i'd share...
ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK RUNWAY REPORT:PREY OF LONDON

Enjoy....

FAB'S NOIR ISSUE IS HERE!
I am such a huge fan of magazines but at the same time i can be very selective. For me,a magazine worth reading must be of good quality from the cover which catches my attention to print and of course the colourful fashion, beauty and style pages. Okay! Call me vain. It's was about 11:45pm when i picked up my blackberry and went straight up to see my recent updates, then i saw a striking black and white 70s inspired classic picture of Nollywood hottie Rita Dominic on Mr Fab's[publisher of Fab magazine] display picture and immediately i asked for a larger image without even greeting. I apologized and told him i was distracted by the picture. Lol! Rita looked like one of those Queens from Zamunda with her hair wrapped covering both ears and the fur on her shoulder. I love that her only jewelry is the staple ear-rings.On receiving the picture,i also got the back cover which features Nollywood's lover boy Ramsey Nouah in a white blazer looking dapper and effortlessly hot for the ladies.
Now this must be a very good read and i'm looking forward to having my copy because the Fab team are always on point with their fashion spreads, beauty tips and very good written articles...
Have to go back to my movie... But before then,i present to you the NOIR issue. So,savor in this hotness...

ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK RUNWAY REPORT:BRIDGET AWOSIKA
From her past collection filled with intricate cuts, structured designs with high end detailing, I expected nothing short from Bridget. So,i was pressed with her collection at the show. My friend and i thought her designs grew in maturity.Enjoy this...
ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK RUNWAY REPORT:PHUNK AFRIQUE
I have always been a fan of the Phunk Afrique brand from the moment i noticed her via look books on different online portals. I liked her attention to details and how she evokes sexiness in her designs without doing it too much. So when she showcased at the Arise fashion week,i was quite impressed with her sequined figure hugging floor length dress, the tops with monochrome neckline and the yellow and black flowing dress even though i expected more from her collection. Now looking forward to her next look book... Lol!
FASHION SPOTLIGHT:DBANJ,KIM K AND JENNIFER OBAYUWANA
Look, whether you like it or not,its always a pleasure to be sitting on the front row at high end fashion showcases. Since i haven't been invited by Before i bore you, here's Dbanj ,Kim k and Jennifer Obayuwana at Kanye's private showcase in Paris
ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK RUNWAY REPORT:ROMERO BRYAN
ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK RUNWAY REPORT:LAQUAN SMITH
La quan Smith wowed me last year's Arise fashion week but this year, the New Yorker took me into another planet with his luminous futuristic party girl look with thigh high vinyl leg warmers, neck and ankle cuffs. Bodycon dresses, sporty jackets, bodysuits, crop tops and flared miniskirts were adorned with slick, irridescent vinyl sheets in green, violet, blue, orange, and pink hues. Thats not enough,he actually understands a womans body and he worked it on that body.
Here's Laquan Smith's collection

Arise Magazine Fashion week runway report:Mai Atafo Inspired
I remember the first Mai piece i wore at the Hiphop world awards in 2010. I thought it felt good to be wearing a piece gifted to me by a Nigerian designer. Since then on,i have followed the Mai brand and at the 2012 AMFW, I had a very good view to his collection and i thought he improved in his designs and presentation that was a mixture of colours, quite fitted pants and blazers with sequined detailing and the today's boy swag. Mai's personal style was very evident in his collection.
Here's Mai's collection...
Arise Magazine fashion week runway report: JINI COLLECTION
I was pretty much excited about this collection. My reasons are simply because she's my friend who's very new to fashion industry and with her first collection which i worked with her on the launch and media related matters in 2011, she's landed on the coveted Arise runway. Jini just had eight pieces from ready to wear to flowing dresses and pencil skirt to showcase and i liked them all because they are all wearable. I am expecting so much from her in her next collection....Here's her collection...
UP AND ABOUT DURING THE ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK 2012-Part 1
The Arise Magazine Fashion Week has come and gone finally and hey,it was an amazing one trust me. I had a good time all the days i attended. From seeing various styles to different runway presentations and meeting with people which i think i enjoy... I don't own an official camera just yet for this blog but in no time,i will after drooling over a bloggers camera whom i sat next to on day three. I she thought me all that there is in it. I think i like it and i'll go for it. yes i will. Now back to the subject which is STREET STYLE. So,in the midst of my up and about through out fashion week, here are some looks i thought was cool and i thought why don't i share with you guys...My friend Yemi[checkout his blog on www.fashioneyenaija.onsugar.com] |
I like those boots. Reminds me of Jimmy Choo's collection in 2011. |
I am a fan of traditional images on tees. I like this Benin heritage image |
THE AGELESS COVER-STYLEMANIA
I am such a big fan of Omotola Jalade Ekeinde not just because the mother of four is my friend and like a big sister. I mean i have loved her on screen way before i got to know her personally. And i must say she's an amazing actress with a deep rooted sense of humor. It's always a pleasure hanging out with Omosexy. When,I got tagged on this cover via Facebook,i was stunned because the cover is so pretty with a nude-like make up and the very daring smokey eyes and Omosexy's straight long hair which in every way depicted the theme for this edition "The Age Issue". I must give kudos to my friend Dimeji Alara who is the editor of Style Mania and his team for such an amazing cover shoot. By the way,i heard this issue also features another ageless beauty Kate Henshaw and newlyweds Hauwa Mukan and Kesiah Jones. Here's the cover....
