Modeling entrepreneur and creative director,Miss Nigeria 2013 Elohor Aisien was all shades of cool as pink in this simple but elegant rosata work of art from the fashion power house Roland Mouret. This dress retails for a whooping  £2000. She finished the look with a slightly done smokey eyes, nude lips, chunky bangle and a perfect ponytail... Way to go!!!

So,it was my last weekend in Nigeria before i take another long hiatus from all the fun and drama in Lagos. And what more could i have asked for than an amazing weekend with my loved ones hosted by my childhood friend Enohi. The weekend actually started on a saturday as we went club hopping from Rhapsody to SIP lounge and ended up at Likwid Lounge till the wee hours of the morning. I have had so many good times in these places but this particular night was an exception. "What happens in Lagos at night stays in that night" so no pictures of the night... Haha!
Few hours later, we[Osaz, Ity, Sapphy, Enohi and a few other friends hit ilashe beach on a beautiful boat from the Raddison Blu hotels jetty... Woohoo... Let the pictures tell the story itself. All i can say is that "There aint no party like a party with people you all share mutual understanding with" WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME! Voila!!!

I visited the casino at the Federal Palace hotel once my friend invited me to watch them play. Another time there was an event there and the third time was Monte Casino in Fourways. A busy area in the heart of Johanesburg. Life there must be very interesting with ancient buildings reminding me of those english/european movies centered around the 1960s,1970s and 1980s and  i sighted some people playing games looking like they have been there for days and some having fun shopping. While some walking around and doing what i was doing....SIGHT-SEEING. Lol! It's such a beautiful place and as big as a living complex with a very huge casino for the regulars and VIPs,shopping malls, hotels, series of restaurants, club,bars,an underground car park and a very large field like garden and walk area... For me D'banj is no doubt one of the best dressed musicians in Nigeria because i don't think there are so many that really impress me with their style. Talented, yes but style compliments it and in that department,i think that koko master D'banj deserves some accolades.  D'banj has worn some really nice and exquisite pieces in the past few years. MISS NIGERIA 2013 KICKS OFF AUDITIONS IN ENUGU, PORT-HARCOURT, BENIN, ABUJA AND LAGOS

ATN and DAAR communications (AIT) with Beth Management Limited is touring around Nigeria in search of girls between the ages of 18-25 years old, for the 38th prestigious Miss Nigeria beauty pageant, the girl who eventually emerge winner will become the queen ambassador, a role model to young Nigerian women, a spokesperson for charity while showcasing the positive attribute of a Nigerian woman.
The casting team would be touring, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Benin, Abuja rounding up with the final casting in Lagos. Auditions will take place from the 16th February to 30th March 2013. The casting aims to maximize the opportunity for girls to participate in the most sophisticated competition. At the end of the casting tour, 36 contestants will be selected to partake in the two-week reality TV show 'THE MAKING OF A QUEEN", in which eliminations will take place leaving 21 ladies to compete for one crown at the Grand finale. The ultimate goal is to choose a queen based on elegance, poise, talent, intelligence and beauty.

The winner of the pageant will walk away with mouth watering prizes to include 3 million naira, a luxury car, full academic scholarship in Nigeria, an all expense paid trip and one year modeling contract!

To take part in the pageant, liable contestant must be female and must have a good command of the English Language. She must be between 18-25 years, a citizen of Nigeria and must not be a mother or pregnant as at the time of the pageant. She must be in good health and must have good moral character.

DENRELE PAYS WHAT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES AS TRIBUTE TO BFF GOLDIE...

It was my 3rd night in South Africa when i got a bbm from an entertainment journalist Ogagus asking me to confirm if Goldie is alive. I told him to cut the crap and forget all these random death rumours. Nevertheless,i still went ahead with the investigation. Immediately,i sent a bbm to the musician Jaywon and he replied "She dey yankee,but she suppose come back today". I sent Goldie a bbm but it didnt deliver. I contacted a friend of the house Shola(Sir K) who was in London and he said to me, he has heard but he cannot be sure and he doesn't want to believe. Restless me, i contacted Kola of Kollertunes for Denrele's buddy Wale's number and he gave me. I placed a call through immediately to Wale but the number was busy for about five minutes before it connected. And Wale broke the news to me but it was still hard to believe. I got through to Denrele through his driver Ismail and he said "our friend is gone". Now it was so hard to bear. Very shocking and heart wrenching. Goldie was such a good person who says it as it is. Laughs at your not-so-funny jokes, very supportive and a very hard worker who never takes a NO for an answer. Always made statements on the red carpet or on stage when she performs and pheww... we all loved her dance routines when she performs.

Today Goldie is layed to rest finally and my friend Elohor brought to my notice Denrele 's tribute which brought tears to her eyes and she went on and on about how touched she felt. I knew since it was Denrele,it will even break a tortoise back because i know Denrele is a fantastic writter and here he'll be pouring out his heart. I am so touched by the words and i can relate to Denrele because i knew how close he was to Goldie. He actually introduced me to Goldie and since then Goldie has been a good friend not only to me but to numerous people i know today.
The tribute was so touching i have to share here..

"My super star friend sways away and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says "she's gone"...Gone where?

Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as gorgeous now as when last I saw her.

I absolute love entrepreneurship and love it when young people venture into new things. Having worked with Mary on several occasions. Either a shoot for a fashion editorial or she's styling and i am filming the behind the scene. I have just penciled down she's a very hardworking girl with so much love for certain things like vintage pieces and accessories. I remember during my photo shoot,she came with a big box filled with accessories.. Lol... Asides all of these, Mary is a Contributing Fashion & Style editor to www.360nobs.com as well as a wardrobe consultant. Today, she formally launches her hair accessories line called “BUNNIES BY MARY”.

BUNNIES by Mary was birthed from  her personal love  of covering her hair as well as her prominent, undying love for Bows which explains her girlie side.  The BUNNY was also created by Maryanne as a way to cover up a bad hair day by the fashion conscious and stylish woman. 

The BUNNY has become somewhat of a signature style for the known stylist who has worked on varied shoots, one of which had Nollywood’s favourite princess, Genevieve Nnaji wearing the cutest Orange Bunny.  Empire Mates Entertainment’s first lady Niyiola also got an apt leopard ‘BUNNY treatment’ in a photoshoot styled by Maryanne.  

The BUNNY is steadily having a cult following which is no surprise as it’s one of the cutest hair coverings which compliments most outfits especially on days when you just can’t find something to do with your hair.

FASHION: THE HITS&MISSES AT DAREY'S LOVE LIKE A MOVIE

Sadly,i missed this show but from words i heard it was the best show to be staged in Nigeria so far. But alot of people seem to be upset with my friend reality TV star Kim Kardashian for spending less than 50seconds on stage and approximately less than 1hour in Nigeria. I care less about that... You know am all about the fashion and for starters it's the man of the night;

Darey looked every inch like he owned the night in a well tailored to fit tuxedo in the traditional black and white ensemble. I for one liked the brooch and patent shoes he killed the entire look with. Triple thumbs up for Darey on this one.

 Last i checked, it's very sunny and hot in Lagos and if i can remember, nobody tweeted about a rainy day the night of this event. My question here is, "Are you feeling hot or not" in this ensemble with a thick leather jacket on? Nice pair of Christian Louboutin flats,nice trousers[i suspect zara] and the perfect T-shirt. Without the jacket, it's a stunning casual look for the night which i still think isn't appropriate for such an event. But with this jacket on.... Oh no, epic fail! Dr Sid has rocked better looks in my books.

Lovely floor length dress with a lacey upper layer i actually like. But i wish she rocked a pair of patent stilettos/pointies to finish this look not those sandals. Hell no! i dis-agree.

 Dj Exclusive isn't only good at what he does but in the style department, nigga gotta have some good scores. Brilliant look and very well put together for the event. Now i need me some sequined blazer.

 I love creativity brought forward and here's one ringing the alarm. I absolutely love this drapping blazer. But the uniqueness didn't shine through the way Mo'Eazy rocked it. I'd rather a perfect skinny cut pant and some boots NOT a sneakers. But i must give him a pass mark for opting for the all black everything.

 OMG! I love this dress and i think it's such a huge risk to make this dress work but she did it for me. Figure hugging floor length number with heart shape prints in red plus matching red purse. Let me assume the shoes are red.... Now this is what i call understated glamour. love it absolutely.
