OMG! I truly miss blogging. I have been caught up with a lot of things. From one activity to another but guys, i am back and i promise to update daily from today... There is so much to catch up on.. Stick around guys... Lets get more intimate...I truly miss y'all...xx

I was at the 2012 Best of Nollywood awards here and i am wearing a black bespoke suit by Taryor Gabriels,white shirt by Ted Baker and shoes&belt by Gucci.

MTN LAGOS FASHION AND DESIGN WEEK 2012:MY LOOKS

I was quite excited with this years Lagos fashion and design week[lfdw] because of the interesting line up of designers that were showing and more so the fact that i got front row tickets to watch all the shows back to back. My knowledge about looks to fashion week is that one needs to look very comfortable and fashionable too without loosing out on that "IT" factor. 

So on day one, i called up my friend Yemi Olowu of www.fashioneyenaija.onsugar.com who is also a stylist so we can chat together and compare designers collections together too. Yemi is always helpful when i am confused dot com on what to wear... Lol! But finally this worked for me on the first day...

 

And they say.... Cool guys wear pink... Yes we do!

On day two,sadly i didn't make any picture because i got in so late and all i wanted to do was to get on my seat and enjoy the show... When i find one,i will upload. But one thing i enjoyed was my glass of long-island by the cocktail bar of the eko hotels. Love it there...

WHEN LAST DID YOU GET A FREE SHOPPING VOUCHER?

A new fashion retail outlet is opening in town by the 2012 Sisi Oge beauty pageant winner Sikeola Olowe. And it's called Fashion Republic. It will be stocking brands like ASOS,ZARA,H&M,NEWLOOK,TOPSHOP,MISS SELFRIDGES,ALDO and so much more.

I am such a last minute person when it comes to dressing up for an event. Until the morning of the headies award ceremony i had nothing in mind to wear and the fact that everyone is coming out all dressed up was threatening me seriously. And i didn't want to look under dressed and out of place. I just wanted to be appropraitely dressed for the night without loosing my personal style.
I swear it's good to have stylists as friends... I put the look together and consulted with my friends Yemi and Olu'Tosin and they okay'd it asides Olu'Tosin's constant "Efe please take off the brooche" but i disagreed and rocked it that way. I just love accessorizing with brooches... Lol! What do you think about my look?

ELOHOR AISIEN SHINES BRIGHT ON THE OCTOBER EDITION OF GENEVIEVE MAGAZINE!

Wow! I was stunned when i came across this cover. In my opinion,it should have been called their beauty edition. Who would have thought such bright yellow layered top would fit well with an orange colored pant? But ex-beauty Queen E who spoke extensively on her new deal with supermodel Naomi Campbell and Miss Nigeria Pageant pulled it without leaving any stone unturned.

I promised myself never to buy anything for just buying sakes... *IT MUST WORTH THE BUY*. I had to ransack the wardrobe and this look was created. I thought i'd share on my blog for you all to see.

I get so excited when i see a a double delight. I love all things by Tom Ford. From his clothing,fragrances and accessories. He's just a maestro at what he does. UN AMBASSADORS M.I, D'BANJ AND RISING STAR SD VOICE THEIR MINDS IN GROUND BREAKING ARTICLES OVER ALUU 4!!

Honestly i cannot express how i feel about this barbaric incident that happened in Aluu. Four promising young men gone like that? I can only imagine the trauma and agony their families are going through right now. It is so sad. Sad that i am even short of words to type, but after reading these pieces by three nigerian musicians and UN ambassadors M.I & D'banj took the lead by releasing press statements followed by the Young and talented rapper SD. M.I who poured out his mind on his own article he titled "The hope is the worst part of it",young and talented rapper SD who's piece made me shed tears after reading and D'banj's "Aluu Masacre". I mean these guys stole these words from my mouth and even more... So,i thought i'd share with y'all.

One event i always look forward to every year is the Elite model look. I get so excited about the high fashion statements one get to see and of course the models strutting the runway and owning it. This years competition had the male category and it wasn't an easy fit for all the contestants. I was up and about the show. I am sure i got the attention i needed... Lol! 

My best dressed for the night has to be Agbani Darego in Bridget Awosika. I m thinking who else can make that dress work for me... Next would the Queen E! Elohor looked super cool in Herve Leger bandage dress and a pair of transperent Christian Louboutin shoes. Now what could be hotter than that?  

There were loads of fashionable guests in attendance... But i picked my favorite photos and moments of the entire event.  Oh! At the 2012 Elite model look, CEO of Beth models and organizer of the Elite model look Nigeria-Elohor Aisien looked stunning in a spring summer  Herve Leger by Max Azria bandage dress in nude and pastel stones. It was definitely a show stopper pairing it with a transparent and patent pointies from the house of Christian Louboutin. And ofcourse her signature fringe hair do was right intact to give more sophistication to the entire look. I like absolutely.

When it comes to style and dressing up,it is mostly the best when your personal style shines through. Music star and DJ Solange Knowles has been known for her very brilliant style that most style enthusiast including myself have actually rated her one of 2012 most stylish. Wether she's out looking all glamorous, the mother of one doesn't loose her street credibility. Above,she looks very hot in yellow floor length pleat skirt and African print crop top matching it with brown strap sandals whilst making her waist the focal point with a brown belt. I really like Solange's look here.

KIM KARDASHIAN CHANNELS EIGHTIES GLAMOUR WITH EASE!

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian hardly gets it wrong. Now channeling the eighties glam look is not an easy fit for any fashionista but Kim K rocked the look in a short leather dress and two-toned Balenciaga  cover shoes. I likey!

LEADING LADIES! OMAWUMI AND WAJE COVERS THE NEW ISSUE OF YNAIJA MAGAZINE

I absolutely love this pair. They are not just friends, sisters like they always tell people but are highly talented. They look good on the cover and even more playful on the spreads inside. I just like the way they always have a hint of African prints in their looks. The shoot was anchored by ace photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi and was styled by the very talented Yemi Olowu and Onyinye Fafi-Obi. Great reads and nice photos. Grab a copy.

Personally,i think i liked it on the model on the runway than on Kim K.

On the right is Yvonne Vixen Ekwere and on the left is the actress Suzan Peters.

Apparently they both got styled by the same stylist for different events i think that isn't right considering the fact that they are both red carpet darlings. But on this note, someone rocked this lemon green high halt slit sequined floor length number better... So guys, you be the judge...

As part of our content at Excite on TV were i work as the head presenter and producer, Fashion Police is one of our major hits. It has been on for a while but here's an official shoot for it and we are absolutely excited about it. New set,new guest and new events. We went all round from all the major gigs in the past months. Our Panelist includes the say-it-as-it-is go to girl Azuka Ogujiuba[who sadly was out of the country officially the day of our first shoot,Veronica Ebie Odeka, Yemi Olowu, Efe Tommy and there is always going to be a special guest *wink*

MY LITTLE WEEKENDER!

Typically i travel heavily. My friends and sister always think i'm packing for a week when it's just two nights. But over time,i have learnt the art of packing so on my last trip to Abuja for an event which was suppose to be a one night trip but my friends extended it to two nights[which i totally love because i felt Abuja so well and i think i like it here *wink*]... I packed just this small bag. I love it because as small as it looks,i can stock up to 4 different outfits of course without the shoes.... LOL.

Yemi who is very trendy and adventurous with fashion rocked it wearing a blue mokasin loafers,matching duffle bag and a simple neck-piece.

 TV Personality with Excite on TV Efe Tommy and Beat FM's Dj Caise were spotted at the Davido's O.B.O concert on July 22nd rocking almost the same outfit- all black hoodies. Who do think rocked it best?

CELEB SIGHTINGS: COMEDIAN AY & WIFE MABEL

Celebrity Comedian AY and gorgeous wife Mabel were spotted at Davido's O.B.O concert on July 22nd looking so cute together. AY brought out his A-game in an all black ensemble with a touch of orange Hermes belt matching his wife's orange pant  she paired with embellished Giuseppe Zannotti heel-less sandals. It's such a brilliant matching look and not OTT[over the top] at all.

CURRENT SCENT I'M LOVING...VOYAGE d' HERMES

During the muslim break,i went on a late night visit and got this fragrance from my dear friend Freda Francis who is into the luxury business. You can find some of her luxury jewelry on www.kristosjewelry.com. It's the new fragrance from the house of Thierry Hermes. I love the fragrance and it's very strong masculine taciturn.

This morning,my friend Chinny called to my attention the wonder on heels she saw on Multiple Olympic gold medalist Serena Williams. I saw the photo and i thought she looked absolutely gorgeous. For shoes, French designer Christian Louboutin never goes wrong with his work especially when the fee is as high as $4000. Many thought the William sisters only invest in expensive sports equipments but no... The tennis player looked fabulous in a figure huggin dress and a 6inches decora pumps by Christian Louboutin worth $4000 at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in NYC.

LADY GAGA IN MARC JACOBS FOR VOGUE'S SUPER SEPTEMBER ISSUE!

The buzziest time for magazine covers is upon us now that more or less of all the September issues have been revealed. The big news is of course Lady Gaga on the massive September issue of US Vogue. I was blown away when my friend Keke sent me via bbm a picture of the cover.

This has to be one of Vogue's best covers in years. Interesting shots of Lady Gaga trying wedding dresses at Vera Wang's shop and more inside.I cannot wait to grab a copy and see what Lady Gaga's transformation looks like. Beautiful cover i must say.

DAVID BECKHAM GOT SILVER BALLS!

David Beckham a.k.a goldenballs was given a silver touch as part of a new campaign for h&m.
Huge statues of the football player wearing just his pants were erected in various locations around new york, los angeles and san francisco, proving he truly is a larger than life star.
the unveiling coincided with the release of new black and white shots which showcase his new range for the chain.

The father-of-four shows off his toned physique, as well as his many tattoos, in the pictures that were shot in L.A. by photographer Alasdair Mclellan.

Still in a very exciting mood and loving everything gold this season... Naomi has been and still is my favorite model of all times.. Wow! She commands attention on the runway when she struts. The supermodel and her friends have done a state of the art fashion editorial spread for the September 2012 edition of Vogue UK. I saw these photos and thought i'd share with you guys... Enjoy...xx
