SPOTTED:OMOTOLA JALADE EKEINDE

One of my favorite African actresses Omotola Jalade Ekeinde spotted in London for the premier of Obi Emelonye's anticipated movie "Last flight to Abuja", The movie also features Jim Iyke and Hakeem Kae Kazim. I love how she put this look together and glammed it up with her patent Christian Louboutin pumps.

FASHION POLICE:HALIMA ABUBAKAR

Halima Abubakar@ the Nollywood awards
Is it just me or does she seem to be constantly attracted to dresses that have way too much going on with them? Also, somebody really needs to tell Halima that side shots of squished, slumpy breasts is not at all attractive or the almost wardrobe malfunction here that seems to be coming with it is driving nuts plus the overnight transformation from an African to the wrongest choice of blonde.

RED CARPET POWER MOMENTS:DONATELLA VERSACE

I thought about this title "RED CARPET POWER MOMENTS" just so i can use the medium to give kudos to some designers home and abroad for their creative work of arts. Also the amazing stars who make us love these designers more by giving a whole new meaning the the beautiful creative. And my first is non other than the power house of fashion Versace.

Since Gianni passed on,the fashion power house of Versace has constantly continued to evolve gracefully and revving up their brand in more sophisticated way. From my own knowledge,a Versace woman is GLAMOROUS, SEXY, POWERFUL IN HER FIELD AND BEAUTIFUL. And for me,these are the two most powerful red carpet moments for Donatella since her brother passed on.

The Jungle Dress worn by Jennifer Lopez to the Grammys in 2000 [see below] was an astonishing feat of fabric engineering – a flimsy thing made from just a few pieces of printed fabric. It was very, very sexy, and provoked a crazy reaction. J.Lo being a sexy woman, but I think the Jungle Dress had special impact because it showed that she was really proud of her sensuality.

What trips me about this dress Angelina Jolie wore to the 2012 Golden Globes[see below] is the architectural fashion designing that went on the dress. It was a cream satin strapless long creation and showed off Angelina’s beautifully feminine figure. This time the dress revealed almost nothing – just her elegant shoulder and neck, and a cheeky peek of leg through a thigh-high split. This is what i call a classical Grecian look, and Angelina looked both extremely elegant and wonderfully sexy in it. Typical example of less is more.

Both dresses were very Versace, but each achieved this effect in a different way. I just love Versace and i'm looking forward to more power moments on the red carpet.

N:B-Please feel free to email me any red carpet power moment you think would fit this feature. Thanks.

FASHION POLICE:SUZAN PETERS

I am of the opinion that movie award ceremonies are one of the few opportunities celebrities have to rock their floor length dresses. From strapless to open-back to mono straps and all. We just love to see what the stars are adorned in. Suzan Peters wore this skin tight floor length black dress with embellishments on the upper part to the nollywood awards and i think it's not a good sight when your "FOLDS" are visible. Hit the gym and get rid of them asap.

Nice make-up,minimal jewelry but wearing this dress with these folds is what i don't understand. I think its sooooooo wrong. Everyone must not show skin. Thumbs down!

OMOTOLA IN BLUE!

Blue has always been a colour after my heart. From pale blue ,navy blue to royal blue,i just love them all. I absolutely love this royal blue drape dress with a silver centre piece on Omotola Jalade Ekeinde at the 2012 nollywood awards in Oriental hotel. Even though Omosexy needs to hit the gym fast,i thought she looked beautiful in this dress. And the up-do hair style she moved to the side plus her minimal make up is just sexy enough to keep the blue floor length number as cool as ice.

FAKE,FOR REAL???

Have you ever been to a shop where people tried to sell you a fake watch , a knockoff handbag, belt, shoe or maybe even faux perfume? Of course you have!

You see more and more fake accessories in the streets nowadays. Maybe these people don’t care that they are wearing fake or maybe they think we can’t tell the difference between a knockoff and the real deal. But what upsets me the most is that some of these people may have been tricked into buying fake, believing it was a genuine product, but at a lowered price! We all know people get ripped off easily… I came across this and thought i'd share with you too.
Here are  some easy tips & tricks that will help you distinguish the fake from the real stuff when you are planning to buy a designer piece and you are not quite sure about the authenticity of the product you want to purchase. If you already have a trained eye, you won’t be needing these tips. You might even know some more, so feel free to comment below! I will explain them on the basis of examples, but these rules are quite general so they’re applicable on all designer brands.

Rule 1: location, location, location!

Most luxury brands have their own flagship stores. If you would like to buy for example a Louis Vuitton bag, check their website if there is an official store near you. Some designers, for example Chanel, only sell their goods in official stores or certified corners in department stores (e.g. Harrods). In this case, you can be a 100% sure you are buying the real thing. Other designers, for instance Alexander McQueen, collaborate with a lot ‘local’ retailers and various online shops, which makes it more tricky for you to determine the authenticity of the product.

KAFFY,VIXEN,EFE TOMMY,GIDEON & BRYAN MADE CAMEO APPEARANCE IN J.MARTIN'S "kele papa" feat FALLY IPUPA.

Me,Vixen & Gideon

Yet again another cameo appearance for African star J.Martins. Recently,he shot a new video for one of the hit songs "kele papa"off his new album SELAH featuring Fally Ipupa. Ladies…Now you know there is something for you all to watch…Lol! I wasn't the only one there. E-weekly's presenter Vixen,Tinsel's Philip[Gideon Okeke],dance Queen Kaffy and model/actor Bryan Okwara also made cameo appearance too. The video was shot by award winning director Clarence Peters and it was a fun shoot. While i opted for a very high street unassuming look, Vixen went all out in bold colours contrasting Gideon's all black everything and Bryan's sporty look. Fally's bit was shot in Paris but i strongly believe the final edit is going to be as strong as the song… Can't wait…
